Deep Tissue Massage

A form of massage used to release chronic muscle tension through slower strokes and more direct pressure or friction applied across the grain of the muscles.

This invigorating experience is a process of detection of stiff or painful areas by determining the quality and texture of the deeper layers of musculature, and slowly working into the deep layers of muscle tissue. Specific hand positions and strokes are then used to respond to various tissue qualities. Techniques employing breath and movement are also used for releasing muscular congestion.

 The treatment improves circulation, range of motion, and tension related issues. It also helps with chronic muscle pain, shoulder and back pain, injury rehabilitation, and reduction of inflammation-related pain caused by arthritis and tendonitis.


Sports Massage 

Offered as a pre or post-activity massage. This treatment can help prepare the body to function at peak efficiency or help to relax and recover after a strenuous workout.

The Sports massage is designed to reduce injury by warming and stretching the muscles to alleviate inflammation. This massage treatment circulates large volumes of blood and lymph allowing the body to release the build up of lactic acid in muscles caused by over exertion.


 Swedish Massage

This most common western form of oil based massage therapy is designed to relax muscles by applying pressure to them against deeper muscles and bones.

Uses five basic strokes toward the heart that are designed to awaken and energize the body through stimulation of blood-flow. Techniques include, flushing the tissues, increasing circulation, stretching the ligaments / tendons keeping them supple and pliable; stimulating the skin / nervous system. A stress reducer and a regular program for stress management. It also has many specific medical uses after recovery to improve and maintain health.


Relax Massage 

The therapeutic effects of touch have been used for centuries to help heal ailments and imbalances in the body.  As well as releasing tension in the soft tissues of the body, massage stimulates the circulation and the lymphatic system, helping to eliminate waste toxins.
